You really are good at sharing your knowledge, thank you. What I run into is white fuzzy 'growths/extensions' coming out of leaves, stems, & other parts that I find difficult to demonstrate in an ink or pencil drawing; in color I can do it in a few ways, but have to include a background. Suggestions demonstrated would be appreciated. Thank you.

If I feel something is not right in my drawing, I usually turn my paper upside down. Then I know I went wrong with the proportions.

Most usps post offices well send these anyway as I've seen and received letters with these wax seals on them

I've been doing wax seals for a number of years now, but in a relatively unimaginative way. I have some silver Encore! paint that I have been using lately, in combination with some gold glitter. To use, I rub the seal across the pad with the silver paint, then dab it into a thin scattering of glitter before pressing it into the hot wax. I haven't used it yet, but I have a tube of gold paint in a Painter''s brand tube with a wedge tip to highlight some of the raised elements of a seal's motif. Another thing I haven't tried but have read about. If you make a mistake trying to create a good seal image, I've seen that you can put the work in a microwave for 2 minutes, and it will melt the wax enough so that you can make another attempt. I have added ribbons under a seal, but never thought of feathers or flower petals. Thanks!

I liked the rose petals on the side but probably makes it super delicate and so I would likely not try it. Beautiful work!

How do you hand cancel an envelope? And I have heard you should seal paper strips with wax attached to the envelope. Like a free appendix?

Hi Katrina, thank you for your wonderful ideas for cleaning my wax spoon. I can also add something I have just tried, on a very stubborn wax spoon, a few drops of isopropyl. Obviously nowhere near the flame as its alcohol but it cleaned stubborn wax off completely 😊

I have been using a spoon and beads for my seals but am thinking of getting some stick for making bulk seals. What would you say is a good amount for a 1" stamp, one full trigger pull?

Wow! I didn't even know about the machines, I think we don't have anything like that in my country, we don't have as much post here I guess. Either way I try to put the wax sealed envelope in another plain one. Another thing about the candle wax - it also tends to leave greasy spots depending on the wax.
